Apig Mirzoyan is an artist and designer from Los Angeles, California. Creating art from an early age, his work has evolved through many different mediums and disciplines, ultimately leading him to sculpture.

With a background spanning art and product design, Apig has always been drawn to transforming ideas into physical objects. In 2018, he founded A-Team Baby and began developing his craft and learning every stage of the sculpture-making process.

​

Apig’s work is built around the tension between opposing worlds. His process brings contemporary tools and techniques together with centuries-old traditions of mold-making and casting, allowing innovation and craftsmanship to exist within the same object. This sense of duality extends throughout his work, bringing together ideas that might otherwise seem to belong on opposite ends of a spectrum. Rather than choosing one over the other, Apig explores the space between them—where contrast becomes balance and seemingly opposing ideas become part of a single visual language.

A-Team Baby represents Apig’s approach to art and design—combining contemporary imagery, craftsmanship, and a hands-on process to create distinctive works.

Every statue is designed, made, and hand-painted by Apig in his studio in Los Angeles, California.
